Finding out a contented man story
|Finding out a contented man story
Once there was an old man. He was very wise. He had built a large palace. He had a great desire to find a contented man. So, on the front of the palace, a notice was hung and he wrote," I will give the palace the man who can prove he is actually a contented man." One day an unknown person was passing through the way. He looked at the notice and knocked at the door. "Is there anybody at home?" he told. Then the nobleman came, opened the door, and told, " Who are you and what do you want?" "I am a pedestrian. Actually, I want to say, I am the man whom you are looking for. I mean, I am a contented person" said the man. "Really! But you have to prove that. How would you prove?" replied the nobleman. The man said, " The hope of new things always makes me happy." The nobleman said in reply, "What the hell are you saying? You are not a contented man because you are not satisfied with your present status and want more." After hearing that he realized his greed and then he left the place shamefully. The moral of the story is- “We should not be desired to have something without industry.”
