A computer is an electronic device that stores and processes data, usually in binary form. Generally, a computer performs three functions and these are receiving data, process it, and then emitting data. Modern life fully depends on computers. The role of computers in enriching digital Bangladesh is huge. We use it in every walks of life. Some important uses are written below.

We know that Bangladesh is an agricultural country. Almost 80 percent of people are farmers. We have so many populations but haven't more land. So, we could not produce so many crops. But many hi-breed crops are being invented using computers with the help of the Bangladesh Agriculture University and many other research institutes. Now we can produce so many crops. The computer helps us not only to invent hi-breed crops but also to invent many other things like crop diseases, uses of fertilizer, seeds, etc. 

The computer is so much important in the freelancing sector. People can earn money by freelancing and they are doing it. Bangladesh is now in the second position in terms of money by freelancing. It is one of the major sources of foreign exchange earnings. in Bangladesh. On the other hand, blog writing and YouTubing also depend on computers. Many people of Bangladesh are earning money by showing Google Adsense ads on their blogs and youtube channels. These also help the country to enrich remittance.

The present generation is the generation of information technology. Internet, E-mail, Fax, Cloud computing, Domain-hosting server, etc are completely based on computers. 

Computer plays an important role in medical science. The computer is used to diagnose diseases like X-ray, ECG, ECHO, CT scan, MRI scan, etc. We also can't Imagine a modern operation theater without a computer.

The computer is so much important in the publication sector. Our textbooks and also all kinds of books without e-books, newspapers, journals, etc are being composed using the computer.

We know that "Education is the backbone of a nation". Computer plays an important role in the education sector. The people of Bangladesh could understand the importance of computers in the education sector at the time of the (COVID-19) pandemic. Students had to take part in online classes. On the other hand, the publishing of the results of different public examinations has been computerized. As a result, students can know their results very easily.

Almost all private and govt. offices depend on the computer. For example, a bank creates a LAN ( Local Area Network) and computer software to manage the bank.

As Bangladesh goes digital, the number of computer users is increasing day by day. The computer has already become a part and parcel of our life. So in order to keep pace with the whole world, we must be efficient on computers.
